Randy Travis High Lonesome Contemporary Country Music CD Review

I can describe the latest release from Contemporary Country sensation Randy Travis for you with just one word. Outstanding

Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. there is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with High Lonesome. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Contemporary Country music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with Travis on several of the tracks. Artists like Jerry Douglas and Brent Mason just to name a couple.

I give High Lonesome my highest recommendation. it just plain belongs in any serious music collectors collection regardless of genre preference.

While the entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 2 – oh, What a Time to be Me, track 6 – Better Class Of Losers, and track 10 – I’m Gonna Have a little Talk with Jesus.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [.as in Stuck on REpeat] is track 9 – Allergic to the Blues. great track
