The smallest state in the United States has the name of stiffness of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations! Popularly known as Rhode Island, this picturesque City of New – England region is also called the "Ocean State" because it could stand anywhere and still within 30 miles of distance from the sea!
Besides drawing many wealthy citizens to their beautiful homes, each summer, Rhode Island, also has a place in U.S. history. Went one of the 13 colonies that started the American Revolution, in a bid for independence from Colombia. Bordered by Massachusetts and Connecticut, on three sides and the Atlantic Ocean south, the state is actually a collection of over 30 islands in Narragansett Bay. Aquidneck Island, including the city of Newport is situated, is the largest island in the bay, while others include the Popular Block Island and the delightfully named Esperanza and prudence.
Most residents Rhode Island is white, and the State has a strong presence of Americans of Italian and Portuguese. Accordingly, the State also has the highest percentage of Catholics in the United States of diverse cultures, Rhode Island also houses a large percentage of people of Irish descent, English and French. His influences, ranging from language to the kitchen, combine to create unique philosophy very different from other New England states.
The capital of Rhode Island is Providence, a city full of architectural wonders. Other large cities are Warwick, Cranston and Central Falls. Several small villages dotting the picturesque landscape, which attracts a large number tourists. The majority of the population works in agriculture, metallurgy, jewelry fabrication and operation of ships and shipbuilding. The State is also home to a number of prestigious schools, including Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, and Providence College.
The state motto is Â'HopeÂ, while the state is a coffee drink certainly indications that the people of State does not believe in sitting around to let the grass grow under their feet!
