Fire Works will feature ceramics fired over a period of one to ten days in anagama and noborigama, catenary arch and Bourry-box wood-fired kiln designs. The gallery will showcase the unique aesthetic offered by this ancient technique. On opening night there will be a presentation by the internationally renowned kiln-master and wood-fire potter Kevin Crowe, from Nelson County near Charlottesville, Virginia. Kevin’s work will also be featured in the exhibit. Other participating potters include Brad Birkhimer, Jason Bohnert, Jim Dugan, Joyce Michaud, Kristin Muller and Allison Coles Severance. Wood-fired work by area potters and artists will also be on display. A wood-firing will be conducted in Morgan County on 25-27 July and will be open for public observation.
