Dear reader,
Sight, precious light... We have so many illuminations around us, rags of light. Wavelengths to clean up with so to speak. I’ve been focusing on light for most of my life. Working with it in the focused form of fire. Perhaps unfocused, in any case, that which is within all things. Prometheus used trickery to steal the light/fire from Zeus. We now share the light; it is here for humankind to use. The great sun grows our food, writes our calendars and warms our ears. So much, so obvious...
I bring my newest works into this reality from great distances, study and practice. The "vector sculptures" and pieces from the "10,000th try" series are about this fantastic medium. They share light, like the earth and its myriad creatures. I hope you find your own ways in these simple, yet vast monoliths of hope.
They are active and passive. Cleansed by the many who have contributed to my pilgrimage thus far. To the ones not yet born I leave these measures of a simple man looking through the cracks, norms and future.
In short, thank you dear reader,
jayzo-ate
