Bisque Christmas

The soup and salad menu is a common food in the summer. Try something new serve soup and salad for a winter lunch or brunch. Here is a cookie and combination salad they make a good choice for a winter soup and salad.

Wine and Onion Bisque

5 cups vegetable broth

2 Cups Dry White Wine

1 tablespoon dill

1 teaspoon dried savory

2 carrots, peeled, chopped

4 cups onions, peeled and chopped

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

In a large saucepan bring all ingredients to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.

Drain vegetables and place in a food processor or blender. Blend until pureed vegetables. Return broth to pot. Add the vegetables in puree back into the broth and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Salad

Spring Mix salad with parsley dressing Worcestershire

Dressing

¼ cup mayonnaise

3 tablespoons white vinegar

1 green onion, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon of sugar tea

½ c. Salt tea

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

½ c. Tea Hot Sauce

½ cup vegetable oil

1 cup finely chopped fresh parsley

Mix all ingredients in a blender or a whisk vigorously for two minutes. When well blended refrigerate for 1 hour.

Green

Choose a spring mix salad, or its supply of fresh green flavor. I like a mixture simple spring.
